Football News: Fabio Borini.

Liverpool are expected to play without striker Fabio Borini for three months due to foot surgery.
The striker had to be excluded from the Italian B-21 team last week due to the additional injury he suffered in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United recently.

Borini has been replaced by young Spanish player Suso in the first half but he was pressing so participated in international teams just to add to his injury during training before qualifying match against the European Champions Sweden.

Italy won with a score of 4-2 aggregate.

Statement on Liverpool's official website, www.liverpoolfc.com, revealed: "Borini treated by medical staff team as soon as he returned to Melwood (training ground) and they have decided that players who are 21 years will be through foot surgery.

"Injuries like these should be through the recovery process for three months."

Borini has not scored in five games since the first Barclays Premier League transfers from Rome.

His absence will put pressure on the final choice striker Luis Suarez in the upcoming matches.
