I have heard of thyroid disease is more common in women than in men. Recently my sister-in-law was diagnosed with the disease during pregnancy. Dr, what causes pregnant women at risk of this disease and the treatment. Please Dr explain more about it.

Thyroid disease is more common in women than in men. The disease can occur during and after pregnancy. However, this disease is safe and easily treated if the diagnosis and treatment at an early stage is done.
